Sing to Me

this post is dedicated to my top ten favorite Disney songs...they aren't all the real traditional types.

ten. kiss the girl.
she don't got a lot to say...but there's something about her. at some point every girl wanted some guy to have the lyrics of this song running through his head. i love the scene in the movie, it's just too darn cute.

nine. go the distance.
i find this one motivational...doing whatever you can
in your power to achieve something, or to find where you belong. i want to watch hercules now.

eight. i wanna be like you.
you know most people would pick "bare necessities" out from this movie...but i honestly enjoy this one more. very upbeat, and i love it.

seven. a whole new world.
i wanna go on a frikkin magic carpet ride. it's just a classic. who doesn't love this one?

six. can you feel the love tonight.
ahhh this movie, this song, beautiful. both the movie and elton john versions are good. i'd like to add my honorable mention: the luau song. i literally would shake my little 5 year-old hips when this part of the movie came on.

five. eye to eye.
a goofy movie had some of the best music out of any Disney film, in my opinion. this song makes me just want to stop what i'm doing and dance. powerline rocks.

four. oo-de-lally.
this is a nod to my childhood. i'm not sure if this constitutes as a
"song" or just a little thirty second singy thing. but jumping fences, dodgin' trees, and tryin' to get away will always have a place in my heart.

three. circle of life.
and so the lion king makes another appearance on the list. please, who doesn't try to sing the beginning of this song?

two. hawaiian roller coaster ride.
as i have stated in my previous post, hawaii is one of my favorite places to vacation. the movie has a bunch of good ones, elvis = loveee. it just makes me want to go surfing...or learn to. and i just love the hawaiian talk...ah wikki wikki la la la la la

one. why should i worry.
gotta love Oliver and Company. i jam out to this song daily. billy joel is one of my all-time favorites, and regardless of how popular of a movie this might have been [i think this one is sometimes overlooked], it's my absolute favorite Disney song. so catchy!

Oo-de-lally, Oo-de-lally
Golly, what a day

attraction preferences

Definitely couldn't pick 5...I'm an even number kind of gal. But these are some of my top attractions that I'd love to work at. I called Recruiting today and told them my preferences. Obviously it is not guaranteed...but it doesn't hurt to let 'em know :)

#6 Jungle Cruise

This attraction is my number 6, because I love the show that the boat driver puts on. I remember when I went on it once, and when any animal/person came up...she would say "It can weigh up to 2000 pounds and leap 20 feet in the air! Isn't that AMAZING?!" I knew this is definitely one attraction I would enjoy working at. It's a total classic.

#5 Mission:SPACE

Welp, this one is just insane. I'm totally crazy about it. It would be awesome getting to watch all the people preparing for their first time on it....not knowing what to expect. I love this attraction. 'Nuff said.

#4 Tower of Terror

One of the most crazy things I have ever experienced. The cast members working this attractions make the experience even more memorable. I know the bellhop's have the most expensive costume, but honestly it would be SOOOO worth it. Plus, it is in my favorite park.

#3 Great Movie Ride

From what I've heard, this is the most in-demand attraction for CP's. This would be so exciting to work at. There's just sooo much going on! I'd totally want to be the one the mobster chick. Ha ha. Except the part from "Alien" always scares me.

#2 Rock 'n Roller Coaster

I'm a total adrenaline junkie. This has been one of my favorites ever since it was opened. I love love love love Aerosmith, and working at this attraction would again, be awesome. Gotta love the fact that you're on a roller coaster, with some of the best music being blasted in your ears. Gahhhh!

# 1 Pirates of the Caribbean
I've heard stories about this bad boy. Honestlyyyyy, even when I was a kid, I wanted to work on this attraction. I'm not exactly sure why. It's definitely a Disney favorite. Heard it breaks down a lot...but whatevs! I just have a good feeling about it :)
Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Even if I don't end up at any of these...I won't complain. Dude, I'll be working at Disney World. I'm good.

blog attempt: numero uno

"all of our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them"
- Walt Disney

yay for attractions!!
so to start off, i'd like to tell an interesting//weird story.
so, one might find this to be a tad superstitious, but the number 18 follows me EVERYWHERE.
1. Born on May 18th,
2. At 2:18 am.
3. 18 days LATE
4. Mom had to wait 18 hours before I decided to pop out.
5. The Chicago Cubs played an 18 inning game (still on May 18th)
6. Various points throughout my life 18 has come up somehow...
and NOW
7. My phone interview lasted exactly 18 minutes.
8. My letter states that I was accepted on February 18.

cool, huh?
welp, now that i shared that piece of basically useless information..
I'm crazyyyy excited about going to Florida in August! If I had the opportunity to choose which attraction to work at...my top choices would be...
-Pirates of the Caribbean ( it's a family tradition to ALWAYS go on this FIRST when we go to Disney )
-Jungle Cruise
-Tower of Terror
-Great Movie Ride or..
-Rock 'n Roller Coaster

Obviously stuff like that is a long shot...but I've been told those recruiters find there way to people's blogs (cough, cough), i might as well just put it out there...

Enough rambling for now. Hope I did a decently alright okayish job on my first bloggy-ma-bobber.
adios for now!

:)
